Avidus is a project I started a few years ago. I wanted to store financial knowledge behind a intuitive AI. I wanted the AI to figure out what information of the vast knowledge based was required, based on a request in natural language. In the end, it should be able to form opinions on companies based on all the knowledge it had. Not to make financial decisions on its own, but to help people with their financial decisions. The idea was that organizations could store all the knowledge they had so that clients or new-colleagues could easily access the knowledge the organization had accumulated over the years (or decades). This means Avidus wouldn’t necessarily be a single AI. Rather it would be the interpreter between the knowledge base created by the organization and the clients / employees using it.
You can of cou\rse ask for values of anything on the balance sheet, income statement or cash flow statement. Additionally you can ask for values of all the financial ratios Avidus knows about (price to earnings, debt to equity etc..)
It is of course easy to switch between the data of companies. After we have just requested the cash value of Coca-Cola, we can easily do the same for PepsiCo. The interaction is intuitive and the information you asked for in the past matters. Here Avidus knows you probably still want a cash value, but now for PepsiCo.
You can also share the knowledge you have about financial terms. This way clients and colleagues get easy access to all the financial knowledge your organization has.
Of course you can also add opinions to the knowledge base. You can either add specific opinions for specific companies, or add generic ones and let Avidus sort out which opinion is applicable. In the above case a generic opinion was used, which would be used for the price to book ratio of all companies. It is also possible to have opinions for ratios within a specific industry, or sector or even a specific company.
Opinions can also be easily accessed, you can easily switch between opinions on different ratios of the same company, or different companies with the same ratio.
